Well I have decided to update my journal very soon after something happens so that I don’t fall behind and thus overload my stress with the update of a thousand things. While there have been two events that have taken place from the last post until now, I will recount them in order of importance. A very dear friend of mine came to me the other day for a replenishment of a certain medicine to aid him in his pains. However, he is very special to me and is suffering from the illness more than just physically. He worries over his strength to protect his friends, a strength that has been taken from him. While I know that he is strong inside, it will still take the return of the keys to his strength that will finally give him the power needed to overthrow his restraints. I may not be able to help him in his quest to get them back, as doing so would most likely pit me against a person that has long been removed from me. But I gave him the next best thing, a removal of the restraint on his most precious possessions. He may find the effects of the freedom to be a bit difficult to handle every now and then, but I will be there for him until he is able to regain full recovery. I do not want a harsh encounter, but I know that if he asks me to help him in retrieving his final pieces, I will be hard-pressed not to say no. I just hope that if it comes to that, old differences can be set aside and the process will be easy to accomplish.

Now, on the other hand, we seem to have been beset by some very unusual objects, many popping up in very unusual places. I am not sure what these crystals are supposed to be doing, nor to what means they give to their own existence. I would place my bet that they are part of the plans of our overseers, but as to what those plans are, I have no idea. The crystals are arranged in a totally random order. Any lines that are drawn between them make no more sense than the web of a black widow spider. So far, there have been ice, fire, and darkness elements that have been infused with these objects. They vary in range of potency, but all hold one thing in common. So far, nothing has been able to affect them adversely. It appears that the news has also found purchase on it, but until there is more to be found out about these objects, the hype over them will die out shortly. Whether or not I wish to see what becomes of them in their own purposes, I cannot say. If it is from them, than I would guess that their objective will be negative. But until then, we can only wait and see. If anything, they are interesting to look at.

I found one in person as I was out on a walk, but neither Tsuzuki, nor myself who joined me soon after I found it, were able to make much of it. The conversation that revolved about it was interesting to say the least, where many speculations were cast. But none seem to fit. After our initial musings had resulted in nothing concrete, we decided to enjoy a meeting at a more appropriate place. After all, he did want to talk to me about something. Too bad the restaurant didn’t serve pie. Tsuzuki was quite disappointed. As it was, he wished to know how close I was to going against our “most pleasant” overseers. While the question’s answer is quite obvious, there are still several variables that prevent the kings of the island from acting on the revenge and rebellion that everyone who is understanding of the truth behind this island is looking towards. Our powers are vast and many times stronger than what they used to be in the past, but then again, we are here. That in itself proves that much caution is needed before we act. As formidable as we are, “they” are still above us and we are still below. They know variables that we do not. It is out of the caution of the unknown, that those with the strength to move against them have not done so. But make no mistake, when the time comes, we will rise up with all of out strength and act. As things stand now, I, for one, am quite content with my life here. All that aside though, it was pleasant to see Tsuzuki in much better spirits than he normally is in. His plants are handling nicely and he hopes that Telulu can come inspect his work. She will be pleased, to be sure. On that note, I did go back through my database and was able to find out a piece of information I forgot that was brought up during the conversation. How interesting… Though it was more than nine months ago so it has leeway to be forgotten. Oh well. The brain of a human and the data of a computer will all have their pros and cons.

It always amazes me how people waste paper for no apparent reason other than the fact that they can. For instance, in a certain college class at the university on this island, the teacher requires each student to write two manuscripts and then print out a copy for every person in the class to critique and discuss it over the course of the semester. Now these manuscripts are somewhere between ten to twenty pages. Each critique is also one to three pages. So in a class of twenty kids, the minimum amount of sheets of paper that can be used in the entire class is four thousand, four hundred sheets while the maximum is nine thousand two hundred sheets. Here is the math if you want to figure the equation out for yourself.

~ Minimum ~ {[(10 x 20) + (1 x 20)] x 20} = 4400 ~ Minimum ~
~ Maximum ~ {[(20 x 20) + (3 x 20)] x 20} = 9200 ~ Maximum ~

I think that someone should report this to the dean because this is an absurd amount of paper to waste, especially since we have electronic mail to eliminate such waste. So I have decided to liken my update to this economic squander by converting all of my events in the past two months into the number of sheets of paper it would take to chronicle their entire happenings. Once done, I shall add them and we shall take a look at how many sheets of paper it would have taken to write everything down. Then we can be grateful for email. Excuse my mood today. It has been a busy past few months and I have not kept up in this.

15 pages. Medical aid for a swordsman. )

30 pages. We are detailed doctor talkers. )

10 pages. A shadowy puzzle to work. )

15 pages. Birthday blonde buys buggy. )

15 pages. Restringing the broken violin. )

10 pages. A devil without his horns. )

5 pages. Musings on the white rift. )

5 pages. Agent in the bar on V-Day. )

30 pages. Professional plans produced promptly. )

20 pages. Two headcases in a week. )

20 pages. An interesting nuthouse. )

50 pages! This is how to open Hell’s doors. )

50 pages! This is how to get sealed in Hell forever. )

10 pages! Time to put my gaming gloves on. )

So like I said before, I added all of those pages up and the result is two hundred and eighty five pages for a single update. Now I’d have to multiply that by twenty to give a copy to each person. The resulting page count is five thousand and seven hundred pages. As you can see, this is even more of a waste. But life is life and goes on. Now we just have to go after the people who consider those of us that eat meat to be monsters. I’ve already got arguments planned for them. Liken a fruit to a human womb and you will find one point easily made. On that note, I am signing off. One of our printers is jamming and needs attention. I do hope the Spring is more promising than it is looking to be.

And so we have the beginnings of a new year upon us. Quite the different schedule this time. At least our overseers treated us with a gift, almost a whole month with no sort of negative involvement. I think that is something that foreshadows an even bigger wave to come. As the shores dry up and the waters recede before a tidal wave, so do the actions of the men and women who run this twisted cage. But as shown before, we can withstand such issues. As such, the month of December was relatively uneventful, save for the more pleasant happenings. That is always the case. The negatives are so grand, but the positives are scattered all over, yet shine much brighter. So this update will be similar to the stars in the sky, all shining and bright, yet each different and unique, all making up the grand cosmos above. So many colors and so many types, each star is perfect in its place in the universe. Of course some are good and some are bad. Some have long lasting effects and some have shorter lifespans. And so I detail the little happenings that took place over the calm month of December and what brings us up to today.

What a lovely sky we have tonight… )

At last we come to the end of the universe, the mysterious and final… the black hole. Actually, it’s nothing more than me turning my computer off, but the sentiments are there. That brings us to the present. Hopefully, I shall update this on a bit more frequency… but most likely not. Data in. Data out. We have a new year upon us. New people coming into play. Some people coming back from the pits. So I move forwards, with all of my life. As you say, Player, “Game on.”

Just to recollect what I was gifted with last Christmas day. It’s nice to have people a bit closer than the whole “patient” realm. The family was quite wonderful during the party, the house serving to host a group of fifteen people. There was Seto, Jounouchi, Mokuba, Shizuka, Yami, Tapion, Chrno, Kaorinite, Eudial, Mimete, Telulu, Viluy, Cyprine, Ptilol, and myself. Some came on Christmas Eve and other stayed over from the 23rd to the 26th. Overall, the time was very pleasant, a few frigid moments between two certain people who know who they are but will remain anonymous, but everything else was enjoyable. But anyways, here is the list of gifts. I have sent out my Thank You notes already. This is only for data purposes.

I wasn’t aware I was such a “good boy” last year… *smirk* )

So ends the stockpile that was accumulated beneath the needles of green. Again, my gratitude to those who presented me with gifts this year. Here’s to the new year.

It seems that the people who run this island are becoming more and more desperate to ruin the lives of a certain four people that I find to be very close to me. They will find that is they continue to keep on pestering the web over and over, what will happen is that the spider unfurl from it’s den and then come scuttling with spindly legs and dripping fangs, over its web to inspect and to guard. It is an interesting thing about spiders. Most only think that a spider lives for two things: to eat and to reproduce. However, a spider is a very complex creature and has much more in its life to live for. A spider will guard its territory, spin its web, and protect its children, travel for revenge, among more actions that people would not lay upon such a creature. However, it can do all of these things and more. Have you heard of the insinuation that the spider kills with a kiss? A kiss is among the most sacred things that people will treasure for the emotions and ideas it brings. To lace a kiss with death is something that people find most disturbing.

*dark smile* I will lay my warnings down now. If there be any more negative happenings to my family over the month of December, I will polish my fangs and go to fetch my best lipstick. If I am made to unfurl, I will come a-skittering to kill. *evil maniac laughing*

What troubles a spider and makes it contrive )

Even spiders need time to relax and have fun though. I may have my issues, but at least I know how to deal with the holidays. I should have a full house, come the Christmas time. Myself, the Witches 6, Seto, Jounouchi, Mokuba, Shizuka, Tapion, and maybe Yami (and the brat – I still don’t like him.) A possibility of fifteen people. Not bad. It’s not like my house can’t deal with that easily. *smirks* And if any of them are curious, I will say it now that no one will be able to find their presents in my house. They change locations every five minutes. And if you’ve seen my house, a search would be fruitless. And Seto, Viluy will prevent any cyber snooping, just for your information. I wonder what to get for my dear friend and his pupil… That will be difficult. Now, to attend to the topic that is on everyone’s minds.

Souichi Tomoe’s Christmas List
* Homemade Lasagna – (I’ve grown tired of my own)
* A white London fog – (I have lab coats, but no trench)
* A family portrait of my four children – (With Jounouchi’s hair presentable, mind you)
* The “Galaxy Set” of silk ties – (Can be found in the mall)
* Chains for my car wheels – (Eudial almost went off the brigde yesterday *smirk*)
* Archon’s head on a stick

(( OOC: Damn it’s hard to think of gifts for a rich stick! ))

Life is a sine wave, always repeating up and down from negative one to zero to positive one. This island just happens to like the negative one part a lot more so I am sure that they have subtracted one from the equation and hence we go from negative two to negative one to zero and back down to a negative one and then a negative two and repeat. Now if you apply all those numbers to life so that negative one means that the person is having a bad time and life is generally unpleasant for them, zero means that things are average or neutral or boring or dull, and positive one is when life is going your way and you are happy and content, then I am sure that this place loves to put people down to negative two and nowhere near the positive one. I have dealt with my own fair share of figures on the sine and to back track, I have a positive one, a positive one, a positive one, a zero, a negative one and a positive one that do not cancel into zero, a negative two, and finally, a one that is pushing a negative five. So if we add them all together, the final sum equals a wonderful negative four while the average is a negative zero point seven one four. What a bad number for an update.

The game is such fun: a loss, a support, a new connection, and salvage.

And so the contest of chess gets all the more interesting. When certain tactics fail, it is time to change up the battle plans. The game master himself learned such a lesson when he lowered down to play on the board of his own game. A pity that all of his carefully laid plans went up in smoke because of hesitation and revelation. To use that boy just to get close to my sons in order to see to whom they would go to and then to use my sons to get to me. What a low-rate scheme. While I do not plan to elaborate on the details of the entire event here, in person, I will gladly tell any who wish to know. However, the results of the incident have left my sons with a few scars, but all injuries were dealt with nicely with the help of a certain pest’s blood. For all of the annoyance’s bothers, his one redeeming feat is that he does come in handy when injury is present. There were two other outcomes as well. The first is that it seems that the game master is now in retreat to check over his little toys. They seem to be breaking so much more frequently nowadays so I would assume that he has withdrawn to give a careful look over his work to see where he has been faulty. The second and final result is that the brat who started all of this was wounded quite severely, but the injury he received was in place of my own harm. I must say that I have never had anyone sacrifice himself for my own personal well-being. I would suppose that I owed him something… which I gave. A life for a life. It evens the odds. So regardless, the issue is over and the game board is again set up for the next round. Chess is so interesting. But one must realize that “Check” does not mean, “Checkmate.” Only when the final call is played, can the game be formally decided.

On other notes, I find myself becoming more comfortable with balancing out the two sides of my life. *smirk* Even if it is more along the lines of thirty percent to seventy percent, light and dark respectively. My sons have both come to me for advice and comfort in light of the recent events that have taken place. The two most prominent issues have been dealing with family stress on the home front and also figuring out how to cope with the sting of the brat’s actions from earlier. While my sons rather nicely handled the home front troubles, the second subject was a bit more personal. I said that being a father meant that sometimes I would have to give them advise that they would not like to hear, but in the long run, is in their best interest. They have both listened to me and know what needs to be done. When the olive branch is extended, the only one that causes the suffering conflict to continue is the one that refuses to accept the peace. On my own part, I was asked to rescind a certain deal that I had with the brat. Possibly it is because, I to, was causing my sons to suffer through my angered actions that I agreed to withdraw the threat, even though no real reason could be offered by either of my sons. But now the ball is in their court and we will see as to how they will react.

A new contact has been made. I finally was able to meet the last member of this little circle that I am a part of. Tsuzuki Asato, the man who is very complex and simple all at the same time. The meeting was pleasant enough. It seems that Tsuzuki is quite the detective when it comes to processing information. But then again, he also has his skills and coupling that with the public journal entries… I don’t find it too surprising that he knew exactly what kind of gifts to bring me, though I assure you that I was looking forward to meeting with him and that the donations, though appreciated, were not necessary to put us on good standards. I do thank him for the contributions. As does my master. It seems that Tsuzuki and Telulu have hit off on a nice social contact. They both adore plant life so much. I am sure that they will enjoy future projects together. *dark smile* Though I do not know if Tsuzuki would find her more… exotic flora to be typical garden material. The conversation was very pleasant as it went on. I informed Tsuzuki of what had become of two of his best blooms… They are quite the charming pair of Daimon… Very strong, a trait that I would assume comes from their superior blossoms they were made from. He seemed impressed at that news. I do look for quality in my items. A few more interesting topics were touched upon, but due to time constraints, were not delved into. He is a very remarkable individual. I am sure that my dear friend, Dr. Muraki and I will have a most informative conversation next time we meet.

The final comment to be made has to deal with a very interesting find that I was made privy to a few days ago. Quite banged up in the settings found in, but for the most part, doing better. The recovery is coming along nicely, although it is a bit difficult to deal with the type that wants to be active and not cooped up, even if it is in the best of interest to the recuperation. Finding out the origin and place to best fit in will be difficult. For now, I will provide the shelter and the aid. It seems that if things go further as they are, twelve will become thirteen. I’m glad I have a large house. *proud, smug look*

Once again, it is our win. So we sit back and wait as the wave collects itself again. It looks like we may have a new surge to deal with next time. But that will only make the game so much more interesting…

So let us see… I am in an odd mood… I think I will run this post like a full course meal. Where to start first? I have two main courses, two side dishes, one dessert, and a little bit of parsley to finish this off.

A rather pleasant dinner if I do say so myself. )

So that concludes the wonderful meal. I think I will go have a nice relaxing rest after such a grand repast. Sleep well, my sons. Rest well, my friends. And to the other houses of my pure hearts… have a good time waiting for me.

I’ve warned the world about what will happen if you go against the ones I have come to care for… and one such person did not believe me. I have seen what most would call a disturbing thing today, and yes it was a pathetic thing that the human race has produced. It seems that both of my “sons” have found someone special to each of them, a sister and a brother. However, for what that man tried to do to them has landed him under my eyes. I do not care for the police and their lenient penalties that they pass. At least not when it comes to people that I would much rather pass my own judgment on. *cruel smirk*

But to let those curious know… The police will have a hard time passing judgment on someone who is no longer there… This offender is now with me and he will stay with me until only those two who are justified in passing the sentence for his judgment come calling. The law does not hold when the ones that I care about are involved. The police may get their statements… but I will not allow them to have this man. He is not theirs for retribution. So if you two are feeling angry, do stop by. You two are the only ones that are entitled to pass his sentence. I think he would enjoy seeing you two again. It will at least give him a break from be slowly dissolved molecule-by-molecule, one inch a day… *evil smile*

So many things to deal with… Where shall I even start? Well first off, I would like to say that change happens and some of it is good and some of it is bad. However, depending on how that change is viewed will decide on whether or not it is good or bad in a certain eye. That point said, I can move on to the updates.

And here I was thinking that I would not have to deal with those irritable senshi again. I had just procured another pure heart when I noticed some odd light in the water. From this light emerged the young woman whom I know as Sailor Neptune. Master Pharaoh 90 has told me that she is from my past and is one of our most annoying opponents. I, also, remember her all to well. I was intrigued to see that she recalled the pure heart crystals, but asides from their name… she didn’t appear to remember much, though she did have some sort of desire to stop me at all costs so that was normal. Fool. She didn’t realize that here, the rules have changed. I do not mind killing to get what I want. Kaorinite arrived with five of my Daimon Dolls to let Neptune try and fight. Granted at first she tried physical attacks and that proved to be quite foolish. Poor woman almost got drowned. That was when her powers were forced to manifest themselves in new ways. This adaptation to the new rules and game was very surprising and quite pleasing to me. I don’t want to have to repeat the same old boring events as last time. In her desperation, she was able to manipulate the waters around her to form a sword, an ability unused by her in the previous life. How interesting. I had a bit of interference with another senshi, Sailor Venus, but she was put down rather quickly. I believe she fled after seeing her attack absorbed by one of the Dolls. However, Neptune’s staple attack, the Deep Submerge, was actually powered up enough to override the Dolls’ energy absorption capabilities and rendered them to pieces. She tried to turn that power onto me, but unfortunately for her, Eudial had arrived to view the battle after I sent the pure heart home with Kaorinite. Dr. Muraki’s training is most impressive as well as her improvements. She was able to meet Neptune’s attack and overpower it, almost killing the senshi in the process. Hm. My regards to Neptune for surviving… The stress put on her though was too much for her recent awakening status and her transformation wore off, revealing her true identity to me. I figured that the fight was over. She lost and I felt that it was time to go home. Besides, her pure heart is still growing so I will wait to take it later. And that wraps up my involvement with them for the time being. Though now I have the Chief of police, Claude K. Winchester, suspecting me of doing illegal things… He better know what he is getting himself into if he plans to proceed… *smirk*

As for how my dealings with Seto and Jounouchi are going… Well that has mixed feelings. Seto’s confusion has cleared up now and things are set back in order. Jounouchi asked to meet with me to get a few questions answered and I agreed. I was able to keep my temper in check throughout the time … but I find it increasingly harder and harder to do that whenever I am around the young man. The information that I revealed to him was the truth, but for him it was hard to swallow. He was dead set on not believing me and that was when Seto walked by. Nice timing. I invited him and then took my leave, practically dumping Jounouchi into Seto’s lap, as the saying goes. Due to later journal entries and comments, it appears that things have resolved themselves to some degree. “Stepfather” is dead so I don’t have to worry about that anymore. Though I did loose a very useful tool around that time and that forced a plan of mine out the window. Oh well. There is nowhere to go but forwards. I still plan on assisting Seto, though he will now have to deal with my more snappy darker side, but I think he can handle that. As for Jounouchi… *sigh* No matter how much he irks me… I doubt that I would ever do anything horrendous to him. *wry smile* I don’t think I will ever get away from those two.

Well. Now that business is out of the way, I can move on to pleasure. I have recently been acquainted with and become good friends with the most unique man I have ever met. His name is Count D and he runs a pet shop near the center of town. Such a special person he is too. He came to me first off for a quick walk-in. He had pains in his mouth and was having trouble sleeping at night. We talked for a while and he informed me of his needs. I prescribed the medications that I thought would do him best. However… there is something about him… something that I cannot place exactly. I had barely met him and then I find myself showing him one of my Daimon, just to show him. He and I talked about dreams and such and I was so tempted to inform him of the truth… but time constrained us. He was such a wonderful person; he even invited me to tea. How considerate! He left and I sent an escort with him. I have only extended that favor to one other person in my whole time here.

I then decided to take him up on his offer and have tea with him. His shop is so very wonderful. The colors and the style and the layout are all very interesting and unique. He introduced me to some very extraordinary friends of his and I got to see some of his amazing pets. He and I played a little game to guess a most unusual phenomenon. And then… he showed me one of his delightful pets, a very special one at that. He let me name her. I called her Hotaru. The name fitted nicely… though for some reason I think I have heard it before. More interesting conversation followed, he and I shared doughnuts with the tea as well. He continues to impress me with his elegant manner and wonderful disposition. He also offered me an escort on my way home. Such a caring man. I offered to make a Daimon for him in exchange for his pet and so he gave me a teacup to use.

My dear friend and I did not stop there. He came to me later for the dental appointment that I offered to give him. He is such a sweet man and like they say… You are what you eat. He does have quite the sweet tooth. However, the cleaning, filling, and checkup all went smoothly. Probably the best patient I have had since arriving here. Once the appointment was over, he and I talked. He is such a caring person, worried about the animals and innocents on this world… He dreamed about a race loosing the last of its kind. I am glad that someone who is somewhat like me still has a heart. It pained me to have to tell him that he couldn’t eat sweets for two whole days… but it was for his own good. I simply could not let such a dear person leave so sad so I invited him for … non-sweet tea. Honey isn’t bad right. He seemed positively thrilled by U-Chawan, the teacup Daimon, and we had another interesting conversation. I was somewhat reluctant to let him go home alone… but I trust him and he does have his own protectors… much like myself.

I am not quite sure what it is that so affects me about Count D. Is it that he has achieved that balance between his light and dark sides without having to split his personality and choices? Is it because he and I have similar tastes in pets? Is it because I need a special someone to protect? I do not know. All I know is that once he left my house, I was practically running down to my laboratory to remove him from the Targets list. I entered his profile and permanently deleted him from ever being replaced. Forever, he is now safe. He is only one of the two people that I would ever consider risking my master’s wrath by doing that. But I am willing … for those two people. So for now, my day has come to a rest. I hope you are doing well, Doctor Muraki. Sweet dreams, Count D.

I have retrieved another pure heart for my master. This one was taken via a man on the beach. However, this was no ordinary man. This was the same man who tried twice to kill my dear friend, Doctor Muraki. Once before in a failed robbery and now once again at the beach. The good doctor was not pleased and in a most impressive display of abilities, proceeded to render said man to be still. I was able to extract what I wanted later. But it seemed that our night was not to be ended there. No, we were the lucky two to have a meeting with our new friend, the winged hunter named Death.

It seems that the man that had been killed was one of the “rats” that worked for the overseers on Kalkyou and had been ingrained into the common populace to keep an eye out and report the proceedings of the project. He apparently had been coming to the beach to make a report to Death when Doctor Muraki caught up with him. Since the man was now barely holding onto life, Death wanted to retrieve the chip from inside this man’s head. Apparently that chip contained some rather important information. Why else would Death have taunted us for letting it go? In his wake, he left three dead bodies, young folk that had wandered up to him during the conversation between Doctor Muraki and myself. I have added that to my list of reasons to kill him. He stole their pure hearts from me by killing them before I could extract what I wanted from them.

To round out the night, I brought Doctor Muraki back with me to my laboratory. My master has wanted to see my dear friend for a good while now and that night was a prime time to do so. The meeting went smoothly enough and I believe that Master Pharaoh 90 is very much pleased with my dear friend. However, it has been made clear to me, by that meeting that my master and my other friend, Aion, will never be able to meet. This upsets me because I honestly did want to share my goals with Aion. But the time has passed and I can only look on in regret.

On a small side note, I do find myself with a houseguest. My patient Kiba has decided to take me up on my offer and is now living with me. Such a fine young man and I am genuinely intrigued by his unique abilities and look forward to helping him.

However, this whole train of events continued as Seto’s desire for revenge progressed. He developed a weapon called an electrolaser, simply put, a device that fires lightning. He wanted to show it to me and demonstrate. We met and during the demonstration, Joshua and Warren showed up. How opportunistic. Muraki showed up as well. And things went to chaos. Warren was shot down, Joshua got defensive, Seto had a mental breakdown, I lost another pure heart, Muraki got electrocuted, and Xavier showed up to capture both angels and mock the three of us. It was a wonderful evening!

Private Thoughts )

For a final note, during the whole course of events, I managed to loose track of one of my Daimon Dolls. The thing will probably run around town and terrorize a few people. Oh well… I’ll find it later. It is all white and has a black star in the center of its chest. It has one large yellow eye in the center of its head and a wide red mouth below it. If anyone sees it, let me know and I will be glad to hear of what it caused.

I never wish that I had been wrong. That is what I told a, now friend of mine, just recently. After browsing through other’s journals, I was intrigued by several kind words that Seto had spoken about me. Short result of it, we planned a meeting. For the most part it went pleasantly. We have so many interesting things to talk about. For the most part, I now consider Seto and ally and friend of mine. He is quite similar to me and I would hate to loose such an important collaborator in our mutual efforts to annoy our overseers as much as possible.

It seems that he was a friend with the young man with wings, Warren Kenneth Worthington III, aka Angel. Apparently, the overseers of this island have turned to a new strategy. Since they have become aware that their plans are being uncovered and people are beginning to become more informed, they are apparently attempting to do away with “the one’s that know too much.” Angel has become probably the first one of these … hunters. He calls himself Death. It seems that they are targeting weak willed individuals who are under mental stress and emotional anguish. This diluted state is reinforced with mental mind washing to produce a mixture that causes the individual to act “on his or her own will.” While it seems that Warren had full consciousness of his actions, he was not acting, as one would normally remember him. The entire concept is brilliant, as the victims will be unsure of whether their friend is acting out of their own will or just under the brainwashing of the island’s overseers. This will allow the hunter the moments needed to kill. It is quite ingenious. Wiping us out so that no one will have to be sent back home. And doing that purge with people that were once our acquaintances is such a fitting action for them.

They did attempt to lure Seto out with a drugged and misplaced Jounouchi, but Warren held off the assassination because I was there. He did knock my car off the cliff when I left after the two were reunited. That action was not smart on his part. I sent my Daimon to assist Seto. They arrived in time to prevent Warren from killing Seto, but not before the young man was injured by Warren’s new abilities. I was able to arrive and nurse Seto back to a better health and then used Angel’s blood to heal him fully. For this I paid a small price to learn a lesson. In Warren’s ditch effort to escape, my arm was severed. Too bad for our winged friend, I had plenty of his healing blood in my Daimon. It was hardly a wound as much as a minor inconvenience. The Daimon and Warren’s blood worked well together and my arm was back to normal in less than a minute after the separation. Which is good, because I need my arm and have grown fond of it.

So far, I have not had any other unpleasant happens. My master is not happy with Warren for what he has done to me, but that is to be expected. My situation with Aion has yet to be resolved. However it is now in his hands and what he chooses to do with it is up to him. If he wants to continue to have my company, then he will say one way or the other. But for now, I am also housing my patient Kiba, so that is going to be interesting. I do have an appointment to keep with my dear silver-haired friend tonight, so I will be on the beach. Perhaps we will see a glimpse of our new prowler. That would be quite nice. I still have a favor to pay him back for. And I will enjoy that exchange.

Everything that has occurred in the past is now completely overshadowed by what has happened today! My master, Master Pharaoh 90 … has arrived. He is unable to appear directly to this planet, as he is still lost in space and blinded by his distance and dimensional rifts. But events took place that I have no recollection or explanation of and his voice and eye have been heard and seen by me. In the farthest recesses of my laboratory, Viluy and I have created a large-scale version of the miniature universe model of the Tau Star System, Master Pharaoh 90’s current home world. My genetic engineering, Viluy’s complex computer systems, and Cyprine and Ptilol’s dimensional barriers and regulators control the space inside its great glass dome.

However, by my master’s vast power and intelligence, he has used the machines that Viluy has created through her research on the computer chip and whatever dimensional experiments that the overseers of Kalkyou are utilizing in order to tear a hole in his restrictions. Through this hole, which leads to the dome in my lab, he sends forth his glorious voice and his overwhelming eye. Though this is all that he can accomplish at the moment, we will throw ourselves into our quest for pure hearts and thus feed Master Pharaoh 90 directly. This will increase his power until he had deemed himself strong enough to shatter his holds and appear to us fully. Once this is accomplished, the Silence shall arrive.

I have spoken to him and he has instructed me to provide for him a recounting of all that has befallen me up to this point as well as his given biography for any new worshipers. I have given him the information that is wanted. With most he is pleased. With some, he is not. Now a computer rests at his side and he receives all information as it is recorded. My master, I will not fail you. You have the words of Professor Souichi Tomoe!

My dear friend, Doctor Kazutaka Muraki, I have finally been able to assist you in return for all that you have done for me. And I must say that it feels wonderful. You have provided me with many enlightening conversations, shown me your research, aided me with medical supplies on short notice, continued to show interest in my experiments and research, assisted me in the training of my Witches 6, and allowed me to enjoy my time here. And now, I have finally been able to repay you for those favors. It is wonderful to know that you are now free from the oppressive burdens that “those people” attempted to restrain you under. I will recap your latest assistance to me, then review my two forms of compensation, your surgery and your rude attacker.

Muraki’s Operation )

As for the second favor that you asked of me, I am able to say that I was successful in locating your attacker. My Daimon are regularly patrolling the general public areas and because of their vigilance, not much escapes my notice. It was not difficult to retrace the past few days and locate the event described. Eudial was the one to find your rude attacker. Chrno … the young devil with the long purple hair. He has been the last of the four loose threads that has been tied. Joshua and Rosette have been silenced. Jounouchi and Seto have been silenced. Now Chrno has been silenced. Yet … he is free. I do not know exactly why he struck me as much as he did. I had returned from my meeting with Jounouchi and Seto and a few hours later, Cyprine and Ptilol brought Chrno to me as promised. The Heart Buster was ready and the contract was signed. He was resigned to accept his fate with little regret. I held the contract in my hand.

And threw it into the fire … Who are you, little devil? I know that come the day of the retribution that those on the island will have, you will be among those who will take their revenge. I have stolen the pure hearts of your friends, bartered them back and forth with their blood and emotions, trampled on the dreams of their futures, and destroyed any trust in me that they might have had. And yet when it came to be your turn to offer up your pure heart … I let you go free. And not only that. I have offered you my protection from the wrath of your master, Aion. Why would I do such a thing for you, little devil?

Is it because you remind me of someone that I lost, someone that was very special and important to me? You look at me with eyes that are sad for you do not fit in with those around you. Your only refuge is with people who have accepted you for what you are. You can never be normal. You are shunned because of your differences. And yet, you are happy with who you are, content to live the life that has been given to you, enjoying the friendships that you have made, and dealing with your negatives with patience and caring. You go through life, knowing that you are different and trusting those around you. You would even sacrifice your own life, just to save someone that you cared for. Who do you remind me of little devil? Why do I feel … affection towards you, little devil? I do not know how to answer those questions.

But there is something about you that makes me want to protect you. Despite the discomfort that I feel, I have made my promise with full knowledge behind it. So, my little devil, I shall follow through on my promise. If you are ever in need of protection or care, you shall find it here. Farewell, Chrno, for you have trials ahead of you. But I shall be here, waiting. I can see your pure heart in your body and I cannot take it. So for that, I will enter the command and forever take you off my list of Potential Targets. Fly free, my little devil. You are released to spread your purity.

I am quite pleased with the way one thing has worked out in the past hours. I decided that it was time to seal up the last loose string myself, seeing as the other three have tucked themselves back in nicely. I contacted Jounouchi last night and had a run in with his, guard dog… The young man Seto can be quite the annoyance. But at least his reasoning was good this time around. I wanted to meet with them and after Seto lost in his efforts to coerce Jounouchi not to see me, we agreed to meet. It was pleasant to say the least. Both young men held their tempers and attitudes in check for the duration of the meeting, as well as extending courtesy and tact, and for that I was pleasantly surprised and perhaps grateful. Not that I would have cared either way. I offered to treat them to lunch and at least Jounouchi took me up on my offer, even if it was only one drink. I learned many interesting things about young Seto today. He is quite the professional after all. In exchange, I informed him a bit about myself. After the pleasantries, I told them about Cyprine’s update on Joshua as far as I had gotten before having to meet with the two of them. It seems that both Joshua and Rosette are safe and improving for the moment; both of them are now with friendlier forces. I proceeded to tell them about my involvement with Joshua’s operation and explained that the change in the young man was due to nothing that I had done. Oddly enough they blamed Joshua’s demonic transformation on me. How tiresome. I did refuse to tell them anything about your location, my white haired winged friend and kept vague about surrounding details. The meeting ended on a rather ominous note. I did receive their vows of silence, so that closes the last of these threads. How fortunate. Now I can look for new targets.

Private Rant and Threat )

I am quite displeased with the way another thing has worked out in the past hours. My assistant, Cyprine, has been keeping me informed about Chrno. As suspected, he attempted to ditch her in the woods on the way to Rosette. Rather than foolishly chase him, she choose to pretend to fall behind and thus was able to deceive the young devil into thinking he was free to go. What he did not realize was that Cyprine’s other, Ptilol, was also around and successfully trailed him to Aion’s house. There she witnessed a rather disturbing event. Apparently, Chrno had a friend with him, a holy man of sorts, named Ewan Remington. This man was able to repel Aion, rather forcefully and painfully I must say, and proceeded to render him injured and unconscious. Aion and I may not be as thick as he and Muraki, but we are close enough that I am offended at such actions towards him. I will do all that is in my power to help him in his revenge. How that will affect my deal with Chrno will work itself out later. For the meantime, I will wait.

Some things are best resolved on site. I now have more issues to worry about. This little operation with Joshua has landed me in quite a fix. First Rosette and Jounouchi are in on my real plans, and then they go off and speak about it. Should have taken care of them while they were at my house. Rosette has been dealt with, though her last few journal entries may become a problem if people read into them too much. The young man Jounouchi is the other problem. He has been a bit loose of the lips lately. I am not sure how many people he has talked to, but I do know that the young man named Seto is informed. I'll have to threaten them to keep their mouths shut. If they refuse to cooperate, the Witches 6 can be called in to forcefully fix the situation. With those two silenced, I should have only two more people to deal with. One of my Daimon saw Joshua talking with a male on the beach and my name came up in their conversation. I informed Aion about this and he has agreed to correct the mistake. Such a friend. The man Joshua was talking to may or may not be an issue. Time will tell.

On a more important note, I have recently struck yet another deal in this whole string of events. The devil named Chrno, the last of the four loose strings needing to be tied back, stopped by for a visit. I told him blatantly of my plans per his request and vow of secrecy. He wants to have Rosette's pure heart and return it to her. Now where have I seen this before? Heh-heh. I provided him options for such an action and in the end, he offered to exchange his pure heart for Rosette's. I agreed and a certain event occurred to ensure certain security. He now is under the same requirements that Rosette was during her exchange. He has left for Aion's place to return Rosette's pure heart. My assistant, Cyprine, has volunteered to escort him. Devils are not as trustworthy as human nuns. She should have a good time with him. Well, Aion, how will you react?
